Miami Amenity Alert: Estates at Acqualina’s ice skating rink, modeled after an underwater cave

Months after Estates at Acqualina in Sunny Isles Beach released renderings of their lobby designed by Karl Lagerfeld (modeled after a Roman piazza) and speakeasy, the $1.5 billion development unveiled a visual and details of its ice skating rink.

Designed in part by New York-based architecture and design firm Reddymade Architecture & Design, the rink will feature walls made of translucent Corian and Lucite, modeled after a crystalline underwater cave. It will be located in Villa Acqualina, the residential development’s four-story 45,000-square-foot amenity complex between the two residential towers.

The total list of amenities in that building are jarring:

  • Golf simulator
  • Wall Street Trader’s Clubroom
  • Cigar Lounge & Billiards room
  • Teen game area
  • Refreshment center
  • Wine Room
